UN protests and diplomacy Vremya’s New York roundup
Pezeshkian’s conditional uranium dilution and verification offer
Sep 24
Vremya’s Georgy Alashvili covers Netanyahu’s UN address, the walkout, street protests and Danon’s Starlink offer to an Iranian delegate. The report contrasts Netanyahu’s genocide denial with NAZA soldiers’ allegations. It then covers Lavrov’s meeting with Araghchi, replays Pezeshkian offering nuclear access with objections to U.S. pressure and discusses a possible Putin–Trump meeting. Walkout and arrest figures, targeting allegations and diplomatic positions remain attributed. Proposed talks are distinguished from an agreed summit, and the competing accounts are not resolved by the report.
In his September 24 Fox interview with Bret Baier, Pezeshkian denies seeking nuclear weapons and says Iran is willing to dilute its enriched uranium and submit to verification within an agreement. He answers an earlier surrender-of-60%-uranium question through a qualified commitment to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Baier cites an IAEA stockpile estimate of 440 kilograms at 60% enrichment and says it has not been verified for more than a year; Pezeshkian does not locate that material. He invokes the late supreme leader's religious prohibition and objects to attacks on inspected facilities, bombing, pressure and blockade. He affirms a diplomatic way forward but announces no completed dilution, transfer or return of inspectors. Fox's later Yingst discussion challenges the nuclear denial and enrichment justification; its September 25 Saudi-nuclear brief and closing montage replay the denial and dilution offer. IRINN and Oman select his verification and non-weapons assertions, and Vremya retains his offer of access, objections to U.S. pressure and affirmative diplomacy answer. These are his conditional positions and the broadcasters' accounts and challenges, not independently established nuclear intent, stockpile location, inspection access or a new agreement. His shipping condition, MOU implementation explanation, regional-group command denial and broader peace/election statements are distinct occurrences within the interview.
