Vremya's military claims Advances and drone strikes
Russia claims Dobropillia encirclement
Sep 22
Vremya reports Russian claims of taking Samoilovka and a bridgehead toward Ternovka, continued encirclement and assaults in central, southern and northern Dobropillia and operations at the Dobropilske mine. It describes a Kharkiv-region pocket and clearing around Rublennoye. Footage is described as a Roy interceptor downing a Maya drone, attacks on telecom data facilities allegedly serving the military, a Varyag strike on Kyiv's Northern Bridge allegedly blocking the supply crossing, a fuel-store hit at Illichivsk and a substation hit near Kharkiv. Control, military use, destruction and bridge effects remain Russian-source claims, without independent verification.
Vremya and Russia's Defense Ministry say the Center Group completed an encirclement of Dobropillia, trapping elements of Ukraine's 4th and 15th National Guard brigades and 425th Skala Assault Regiment. The report shows purported prisoners, describes severed supply roads after the capture of Zolotyi Kolodiaz, air and artillery strikes, interception of drone supplies and fighting inside several city districts. Its anchor and package give different directions for one arm of the advance. These are Russian claims; the broadcast provides no independent confirmation or Ukrainian account. The September 27 weekly review repeats the claimed closure south and west of Dobropillia, identifying National Guard units and the Skala regiment. Commentators describe the T0514 supply route and claim Izium is the only substantial route left for the wider grouping. The package says Russia's Defense Ministry reports breakout attempts have stopped and losses up to fifty Ukrainian personnel daily. Those claims, allegations about Skala commanders and the supply-route assessment are attributed; existing Ukrainian accounts of the battle remain in the story. The September 28 report adds Russian claims of seventy buildings cleared over the past day, at least thirty Ukrainian personnel killed and a severed logistics artery through Dobropillia. The September 29 account quotes a purported member of Ukraine's 38th Marine Brigade alleging abandonment and withdrawal by neighboring Azov commanders; it reports seventy-two further buildings cleared over the past day and nearly 550 since the encirclement operation began. It also alleges over one hundred personnel killed without clearly defining that figure's period, and says the grouping remains trapped. These are compatible Russian-side updates to the claimed pocket, not independently verified control or losses, and do not redate its asserted initial closure. The separately claimed capture of Vesyoloye Pole has its own occurrence. Vremya's September 30 roundup again says Ukrainian forces remain in a Dobropillia pocket, describes fighting in several districts and claims supplies have been cut off while showing purported drone strikes on concealed positions. This is a shorter substantive update to the existing claimed encirclement, not a newly dated closure or independently verified control. Vremya's October 1 roundup describes continuing assaults from several directions at Dobropillia. Gun commander Roman Mitrofanov claims every approaching road is under Russian fire control and that supplies and rotations are prevented; the package also claims the 56th special-purpose battalion destroyed concealed dugouts on the approaches. These remain attributed updates to the claimed pocket, without independent confirmation, and do not redate its asserted September 22 closure. Vremya's October 3 brief says the 51st Army and marines advanced in northwestern, eastern and central Dobropillia, clearing another seventy buildings and killing more than twenty Ukrainian personnel. These are compatible attributed updates to the asserted pocket, not independent confirmation of control or a change to its initial claimed closure date. Vremya's October 5 military roundup again describes large Ukrainian forces as trapped at Dobropillia, with Russian assault groups advancing in the center and south and marines in the north and at the Dobropilske mine. This is a brief compatible Russian-source update, without independent confirmation of control, a new closure date or a completed capture of the city. Vremya's October 6 roundup again asserts the pocket, describes the 51st Army in the centre and marines in the north and at the mine, and claims 52 buildings seized in a day. These are a compatible Russian-source update, not independently verified control or a new closure date.
