Mars helicopter demonstrated Artemis timetable revisited
Isaacman sets out a December moon-base start and 2027–28 Artemis timetable

Jonathan Serrie reports an AeroVironment controller demonstration and NASA's planned Skyfall Mars-helicopter mission. Pomerantz explains the lack of magnetic navigation, GPS and dense air; Grip describes airborne helicopter release after a parachute slows a capsule. Serrie describes a planned 2028 nuclear-powered launch and radar searches for ice and future landing sites. Isaacman says a human Mars mission could happen before 2040 if resources and support align. The report then describes the lunar South Pole as a proving ground, Artemis III's 2027 docking tests in low Earth orbit and planned 2028 human lunar landings, with Andre Douglas's exploration comments. These are demonstrations and plans, not completed missions.
Isaacman tells Fox the first moon-base mission is planned for December 2026, followed by near-monthly uncrewed rovers and landers in early 2027. He puts Artemis 3 in 2027 and an Artemis 4 lunar-surface return in 2028. He describes competition with China and Russia for south-pole landing sites, water ice and solar access. These are announced plans and rationale, not completed missions or guaranteed outcomes.
