Houthis release Rujum drone attack footage

Sep 26

CCTV reports Yemeni government forces’ claim that they repeatedly repelled Houthi attacks near the Hayjat al-Abd passage linking Taiz and Aden, keeping the route open. It then describes footage released by the Houthis on September 26 claiming drone attacks on government troops and vehicles. The opposing claims remain attributed; the brief supplies no independent verification of either outcome.

IRINN says Houthi-led forces released footage of Rujum-drone attacks on Saudi-backed positions and vehicles on several fronts. It separately cites Yemeni media reports of Saudi- and UAE-backed commanders, including Giants Brigades commanders, killed or wounded in the fighting. It gives no names, dates, casualty total or independently verified losses. CCTV's September 27 brief dates the Houthi video release it cites to September 26 and shows aerial footage while relaying a claim of drone attacks on Yemeni government personnel and vehicles. CCTV does not identify the drones as Rujum, name commanders or verify casualties. Its placement after a government account from Hayjat al-Abd does not establish that the video shows those particular clashes.
