Oct 5
Alena Evtyakova reports from the third BIOPROM forum's opening in Gelendzhik. Exhibitors describe biodegradable magnesium surgical implants, Rostec's individualized skin bioprinting robot still undergoing clinical evaluation, and a domestic dialysis machine with monitoring features and proposed production and deliveries. Sechenov University and Sirius representatives discuss specialist training and a development-to-validation cycle. A pharmaceutical executive argues Russia can manufacture complex medicines domestically. Denis Manturov discusses the approved bioeconomy strategy through 2036 and reports three-percent output growth over nine months; Mikhail Kovalchuk explains everyday microbial production and emphasizes biosecurity. The report gives the exhibition and business programme's scale and says the forum continues tomorrow. Testing, forecasts and independence claims retain attribution and qualifications.
At BIOPROM on October 5, Vremya reports approval of Russia's bioeconomy strategy through 2036. Manturov outlines technological capacity, deep biological-resource processing, new markets and biotechnology in existing industries, and reports three-percent output growth over nine months. This is his public presentation and assessment; signature date and independent growth verification are not supplied. At BIOPROM on October 5, Manturov reports 3% bioeconomy output growth over the first nine months of 2026, calling the pace modest. He describes 36 priority chains, roughly 80% mapped, and laboratory-to-industrial scaling as the principal bottleneck. He outlines university engineering centres, demand measures, Kurchatov-led scientific coordination and workforce requests, and promises government follow-up on proposals. In a later answer he stresses joint responsibility across government, industry, agriculture and science. Measures still being developed and completed results are distinguished.
