Netanyahu’s UN accusations against Mamdani

Sep 24

Kan airs Netanyahu defending attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, recalling joint U.S.–Israeli missions and claiming military successes. He recounts visiting his brother before the 1967 war, the 1976 Entebbe rescue, the October 7 attacks, Shukron's killing, Neria Leiter's critical injury and Moshe Leiter's earlier death. He dismisses the scale of settler violence, accuses Qatar and Turkey of spreading hostile narratives, rejects Gaza genocide accusations and attacks Mamdani's conduct. Later he displays Starlink, accuses Iranian authorities of killing and maiming unarmed civilians and predicts the regime's eventual fall. His figures, accusations, historical recollections and predictions remain attributed. Kan's subsequent studio discussion questions the speech's domestic campaign focus, treatment of settler violence and absence of a new policy initiative; its correspondent separately describes the walkout. The address, historical occurrences and analysts' interpretations remain distinct accounts.

Netanyahu uses his September 24 UN address to accuse New York mayor Mamdani of associating with Hamas supporters, failing to condemn hostile posts and making Jews feel unsafe. He repeats accusations about Mamdani's acquaintances, a journalist and his wife, and says the mayor tried to prevent or silence his visit. Kan airs these allegations, which the speech does not independently substantiate. In Fox's September 25 weekly panel, Jason Riley praises the address as expressing fears of Jewish New Yorkers under Mamdani; this is his assessment, not a representative measure of public opinion. The UN statement is distinct from Netanyahu's earlier September 21–22 rebuke and Mamdani's separate description of the city's limited authority over the ICC warrant.
