Democracy Now reports the killing of senior Hamas commander Izz al-Din al-Beik in an Israeli strike. Palestinian officials locate it at a residential apartment building in Gaza City; health officials report a second person dying of wounds. The bulletin separately reports one person killed later Tuesday in a strike near a clinic in Jabalia refugee camp. Resident Abdel Rahim Abu Kouaik says the densely inhabited camp's weak houses could not withstand the bombing and describes widespread damage. The two attacks and their casualty claims are kept distinct.
