Ukraine reports Oleshky drone food delivery

Sep 27

TSN cites the Kherson regional administration head saying Ukrainian forces delivered about four tonnes of food by drone to occupied Oleshky in one of their largest such operations, involving marines, National Guard personnel and border guards. It describes drops at hundreds of locations and says deliveries have continued since early spring. The report alleges that Russian troops shoot down supply drones, seize food, and detain and torture people who accept it. It estimates nearly 2,000 residents, including about fifty children, remain without reliable food, electricity, water or a way out. The report reiterates allegations of attacks on aid vehicles and blocked evacuation initiatives. The delivery and obstruction accounts are attributed; no sustained humanitarian corridor, completed evacuation or assurance that all recipients collected the food is established.

The report alleges that Russian troops shoot down supply drones, seize food, and detain and torture people who accept it. The report reiterates allegations of attacks on aid vehicles and blocked evacuation initiatives. The delivery and obstruction accounts are attributed; no sustained humanitarian corridor, completed evacuation or assurance that all recipients collected the food is established. Weltwoche's September 29 closing brief relays the assessment that Russian troops apparently obstruct Ukrainian efforts to supply food to residents of occupied Oleshky in Kherson region. It does not repeat the delivery quantity or identify a new shipment, and supplies no resolution of the obstruction allegations. France 2's September 30 report says Ukraine dropped food into Oleshky on Sunday and assesses the assistance as insufficient amid severe hunger and unsafe ground access. Sunday identifies the same September 27 operation. No independent quantity is supplied, so it neither contradicts the four-tonne claim nor establishes restored access. TSN's September 30 return describes the same latest four-tonne operation, packages lowered by cables at a hundred destinations after months of finding Russian blind spots, and supplies expected to last weeks. Its earlier report's hundreds-of-locations wording is retained as a source difference. Administration head Tetiana Hasanenko alleges seizure of drone-delivered food, detention and torture of recipients and disappearances; TSN says roads are mined and escapees hunted with FPVs. Another delivery's timing is unknown as surveillance increases. This compatible follow-up does not establish a new shipment, sustained access or an evacuation corridor. The existing September 27 date refers to the published announcement; the actual flight dates remain unestablished.
