Karjakin describes Chess for Our Own as veteran rehabilitation with sixteen Moscow-region clubs, including medical facilities. He reports the first nationwide tournament in Nizhny Tagil July 29–31 with 114 veterans and Sergey Pompa from Donetsk as winner, plus a strategy conference and cultural visits. He plans expansion to twenty-five to thirty regions and another tournament next year, and thanks the Defenders of the Fatherland foundation and Council leadership. Matviyenko praises his work.
