About this event

Mass drone raid and Moscow casualties reported

Date unknown

CCTV cites Sobyanin for 650 Ukrainian drones heading toward the Moscow region overnight October 5–6 and an earlier 9,994 count for September 1–October 5. Russia's Defence Ministry reports 868 interceptions over several regions and the Sea of Azov, and October 6 Geran strikes on Ukrainian radars, depots and four data centres. Ukraine reports 184 front-line engagements, strikes on three Russian concentrations and repelled attacks. Its Air Force preliminarily reports 137 Russian attack drones since October 5 evening, with 114 shot down or neutralized by October 6 morning. These differently scoped military figures and success claims remain attributed.

Vremya describes a large Ukrainian drone-and-missile attack on Russian regions, claiming 1,750 drone and 17 Flamingo interceptions, including 650 drones heading toward Moscow. Its next bulletin reports two people killed and nine injured in Moscow region, with deaths in Domodedovo and Solnechnogorsk districts. The attribution, totals and connection between interception and casualty accounts remain the broadcaster's claims. The attack's precise date is not established. CCTV's October 6 account dates Sobyanin's 650 Moscow-bound drones to October 5 at 20:30–October 6 at 05:00 and separately gives Russia's Defence Ministry 868-interception claim over several regions and the Sea of Azov for a different overnight window. Its 9,994 figure is a September 1–October 5 baseline. These windows and quantities do not silently reconcile Vremya's wider 1,750/17 account or establish the casualty report's timing.
