Russia claims three Kharkiv settlements

Oct 1

Vremya's anchor and Dmitry Tolmachev report Russian military claims of three more settlements under control in Kharkiv region: Vysoka Yaruha, Nesterne and Rublene. They say two tighten a claimed Ukrainian pocket and the other expands a border security strip. The Kyiv South Bridge is reported hit by two drones and closed to traffic; its condition is explicitly unknown. Experts describe its road, metro and logistical importance and interpret protruding metal parts on Geran noses as a cutting shaped-charge warhead. A possible collapse after sufficient cable cutting is hypothetical, not a reported collapse. The package attributes the strike to the 50th Varyag unmanned-systems brigade and briefly claims other strikes on an aircraft, warehouses, a drone workshop, gas infrastructure, maritime-drone/intelligence facilities and a ship at Chornomorsk. It reports Parkovy data-centre owners saying accumulated damage is irreparable without identifying a precise attack date. At Dobropillia it describes assaults from several directions; gun commander Roman Mitrofanov says all approaching roads are under Russian fire control and supplies and rotations are prevented. The report also claims the 56th special-purpose battalion destroyed concealed dugouts. The control, destruction, military-use and encirclement claims remain attributed to Russian sources, without independent confirmation or a Ukrainian response.

Vremya and the Russian Defence Ministry claim Russian control of Vysoka Yaruha, Nesterne and Rublene in Kharkiv region on October 1. They say Nesterne and Rublene further tighten a Ukrainian pocket, while clearing Vysoka Yaruha and adjoining ground widens a border security strip. The report describes Russian artillery activity. These are Russian-side territorial and encirclement claims without independent confirmation in the broadcast.
