CIA drone warning? TSN, Macron and Crosetto

Macron denies CIA drone-threat notification

TSN’s September 24 report cites El Mundo’s account of a CIA warning about possible Russian ship-launched drone attacks on Spain, France or Italy. In his original TF1 / France 2 interview that evening, Macron denies that the CIA informed French intelligence of such an attack, while warning that tensions and hostile acts across Europe are increasing. At a Radio Radicale book discussion the same day, Italian defence minister Guido Crosetto says the named governments have no confirmation of the report. He explicitly distinguishes that from denying a Russian threat, and argues that Russia could strike Europe without ships carrying drones near Italy. The dispute concerns the reported alert and scenario; these denials do not establish that no Russian threat exists. Separate recordings, not a live debate.

In his September 24 Élysée interview, Macron denies that the CIA notified French intelligence of the reported Russian ship-launched drone attack scenario. He cites the Italian defense minister's denial but qualifies his answer with concern about rising tensions and hostile acts in Europe. His denial of notification does not establish that every possible threat is false.
