Iran issues weather warning Rain, wind and rough seas

Meteorologist Rezvan Salami reports recent rain in Gilan, Mazandaran and Golestan and forecasts Thursday–Friday rain, thunderstorms and wind in western and northwestern areas and the Alborz/north. She describes warnings for runoff and rising rivers, advises avoiding riverbanks, forecasts southeastern afternoon showers and widespread wind, dust and poorer air quality, and warns of rough Caspian, Gulf, Hormuz and Oman waters requiring restricted marine activity. Northern cooling is expected to persist. Forecast hazards are not reported as actual floods or casualties.
