Tony Romo leaves CBS After drunk-driving case
CBS and Tony Romo part ways

Stephanie Ramos reports that CBS Sports and Tony Romo say they mutually agreed to part ways after his summer drunk-driving arrest and leave. ABC describes the former Cowboys quarterback's broadcasting job and reported eighteen-million-dollar annual pay, his July 23 stop after a golf outing by Milwaukee sheriffs and his no-contest plea the previous month. Romo says back surgeries led to pain-medication dependence and efforts to stop led to an overreliance on alcohol, while expressly rejecting that as an excuse and taking responsibility. He says he will take time off before considering his future.
