Backstreet Boys residency Düsseldorf fans celebrate
Backstreet Boys launch their Düsseldorf residency

David Zajonz reports Düsseldorf's celebration of a ten-concert Backstreet Boys engagement, with arena footage and fans from Germany, Mexico and Gdańsk describing nostalgia, lifelong attachment and a break from adult responsibilities. The feature follows a municipal Theater Museum sing-along, fan Maria Garcia's visits, special tram trips, a band fan shop and hospitality across bars and restaurants. It reports hotel occupancy reaching 94% on some days, rather than a constant citywide rate. Returning to the museum, it shows a 1990s display and director Sascha Förster's view that the city is small enough to create a fan community. Anke Hallermann and Julia Bartnik-Schneider recall youth and their friendship. The anchor's band history, all substantive interviews, associated exhibition visit and closing music remain in the account; ten scheduled concerts are not presented as ten already completed.
Backstreet Boys begin a ten-concert Düsseldorf engagement that ARD describes as bringing international fans, nostalgia and widespread local hospitality. The feature shows arena performances, a special tram, a fan shop, visiting fans and high hotel occupancy on some days. By October 2 the engagement is ongoing; the ten-show total is not a claim that all concerts are complete. The separately covered museum sing-along is a directly related local activity.
