School's forest election Children practice voting
Presidente Getúlio pupils hold mock vote
Sep 29
Rede Bela Aliança TV shows Eleições na Floresta, Aprende Brasil Educação's project with Presidente Getúlio's municipal schools for first- through fifth-year pupils. About six hundred children participate at Tancredo Neves and rural schools. Fictional candidates inspired by animals and plants campaign on environmental proposals. The report follows identification, polling staff, voting booths and electronic voting, with complete pupil responses. Consultant Mateus Peyerl explains multidisciplinary work on mathematics, history, Portuguese and citizenship, including learning to win and lose. The count and a winning fictional candidate are shown. The anchors' opening promise to declare presidential votes is resolved in their closing discussion of the project’s fictional candidates.
About six hundred primary pupils in Presidente Getúlio's municipal schools take part in Eleições na Floresta, an Aprende Brasil Educação partnership. They campaign for fictional animal-and-plant candidates, present environmental proposals, serve as polling staff, identify themselves, vote and count results. TV Brasil preserves students' accounts and the consultant's explanation of mathematics, history, Portuguese, citizenship and learning to win or lose. This is a school simulation, not a presidential election result.
