CCTV reports new China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing data putting January–August social logistics at 243.6 trillion yuan, up 4.9% year on year. Manufacturing is described as the main growth engine, with August industrial-goods logistics up 4.9% and increasing support from high-tech manufacturing, robots, integrated circuits and digital goods. Logistics for entities' and residents' goods rose 3.4%. China Logistics Information Center director Liu Yuhang says infrastructure, corridors, supply assurance and multimodal transport are improving.
