Kyiv bridge strike claims and wider Russian attacks

Oct 1–2

Andrey Goldyrev reports a Geran strike on Kyiv's Northern Bridge that morning and revisits the previous day's Southern Bridge strikes. He alleges military-logistics use, damage to the Southern Bridge's road and at least three stays, restricted crossings, halted convoys and plans for replacement crossings. MADI specialist Sherali Valiev explains structural vulnerability without independently verifying the damage. The complete package also reports warehouse, shipping and data-center strikes. It preserves the dispute between social-media descriptions of pharmaceutical storage in Hostomel and the reporter's military-use inference from smoke and detonation. Target use, weapons, destruction and logistics effects remain Russian-source claims; the footage supplies no independent assessment of all those assertions.

DD India reports overnight Russian attacks and closure of two Kyiv bridges on October 2. It relays Russia's Defense Ministry claim that a road-and-rail Dnipro crossing was hit; the report does not name the bridge, which contemporaneous reporting identifies as the Southern Bridge. It includes Vitali Klitschko's warning about the city's dramatic situation. The accompanying substation, Izmail-port and Black Sea cargo-vessel claims remain attributed surrounding-wave context in the complete report. Vremya's October 3 retrospective says Russian forces struck the Southern Bridge the previous day. It describes road, barrier and pylon damage and infers at least three damaged stays from photographs, warning about distortion and heavy-vehicle access. Its military-use, convoy-stoppage, crossing restrictions and planned replacement-crossing accounts remain attributed, without independent structural or logistics verification. The exact dates of every damage image are not established. This overnight October 1–2 attack and its aftermath are distinct from the October 1 around-noon two-drone strike indexed as event 3621.
