Oct 4
ABC reports federal agents arrested 34-year-old Southern California real estate agent Wanying Zhang at LAX overnight as she was about to board a Shanghai flight. Trevor Ault says the FBI alleges she traveled to Seattle last year, rented an SUV and surveilled the son of Taiwan's president. She allegedly sent a Chinese contact photographs of the family, cars and license plates, along with a text identifying a young man, and may have monitored other families. ABC says she is accused of acting as an unregistered foreign-government agent and remains in custody awaiting trial. These are allegations, not a conviction.
