Beskrestnov warns of cutting drone warheads

Sep 30

TSN says a ballistic strike damaged the Trypillia Thermal Power Plant, shows Centrenergo's released damage photographs, and relays CEO Serhii Isachenko's statement that repairs will begin when security allows. It shows reported drone footage of a high-voltage pylon near a Kyiv combined heat and power plant. Zelenskyy says the attack targeted Kyiv and regional energy infrastructure; Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi urges every community to check backup power for critical facilities. Defence Minister's adviser Serhii Flash says Russia first used a jet drone with a warhead designed for high-voltage pylons and metal bridge structures and suggests further power-line attacks may be planned. This prediction is not a confirmed future attack. The bulletin reports emergency outages in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions, suspension of fifteen trolleybus and two tram routes in three Kyiv districts, and other regional power disruptions. Restrictions are to be lifted when the system stabilizes, with repair crews working since the preceding night; restoration is not reported complete. The closing return repeats the plant damage, conditional repairs and backup-power appeal.

Serhii Beskrestnov publicly reported Russia's first use of a special cutting shaped-charge warhead on a jet-powered drone, designed to damage high-voltage towers and metal bridge structures, and warned of possible further power-line attacks. TSN's September 30 report relays the first-use claim and prediction; its October 3 bridge account returns to the new Shahed modification and explains vulnerable cables, anchors and pylons. These are attributed technical claims, not independent proof of the warhead used in each Kyiv bridge impact.
