June 3 Crimean Bridge attack

Jun 3, 2025

Vremya’s presenter calls the Ukrainian attack on the Crimean Bridge unsuccessful and describes Kyiv’s claims as propaganda and state terrorism. On the Crimean shore, correspondent Vitaly Kadchenko says it is 18:56 and traffic resumed more than an hour earlier after two stoppages, from six to nine in the morning and from 15:42 for more than two hours. He shows vehicles moving in both directions without queues and asserts that security measures keep the bridge fully operational. The report also claims Russian forces destroyed a NATO-type boat with a Lancet strike, without disclosing all bridge defences. Interviewed motorists say they are unafraid, accept temporary safety restrictions and will continue visiting Crimea. The account concludes that Ukrainian attempts are futile. These are Vremya’s conclusions and on-scene traffic observations, not an independent assessment of structural damage.

On June 3 the SBU announced an underwater operation against a Crimean Bridge support. TSN relays its claim of 1,100 kilograms of explosives and describes support and roadway damage, while qualifying reports of a later second explosion and closure. Vremya calls the attack unsuccessful, asserts the bridge remains secure and fully operational, and shows evening traffic after two stoppages. Its correspondent says vehicles are moving in both directions without queues. These conflicting assessments remain attributed: resumed traffic does not independently settle structural damage, and the retrieved accounts do not establish a separate second explosion. The separately retrieved SBU release (show 511) supplies a direct, speechless view of the setup, detonation beside a pier and immediate aftermath. Kadchenko's complete report places the two traffic pauses at 06:00–09:00 and from 15:42 for over two hours, with resumed traffic at his stated 18:56 recording time. The footage and traffic observations establish no independent measurement of underwater damage.
