FMBA's adaptive-sport report Health care and prosthetics
FMBA proposes ten prosthetics centres
May 28, 2025
Skvortsova describes multidisciplinary assessment and medical support for adaptive athletes, giving the agency's claimed clearance and preparation outcomes. She says the National Centre for Sports Medicine created by presidential decree is working, outlines regional methods and staffing, and describes athlete health passports, a developing medical register, pilot implementation and possible AI assistance. She reports a first integrated prosthetics and rehabilitation centre opened in 2024 with Rostec and the veterans' foundation, attributes patient outcomes to its approach, and explains referral and sporting adaptation. She proposes ten further centres on a short rollout schedule, and Putin supports work on the proposal. Reported outcomes are her claims; planned registry functions and centres are not treated as completed nationwide provision.
Skvortsova proposes at least ten integrated prosthetics and rehabilitation centres at existing FMBA clinics across federal districts, with Rostec and the veterans' foundation. Following discussion of unified rehabilitation methods, she says this could take six or seven months. Putin supports work on the proposal; approved funding and completed centres are not established.
