Putin honors war mentors Veterans and teachers speak

Oct 5

Dmitry Kulko reports Kremlin Teachers' Day awards for teachers and coaches of Time of Heroes participants. Vladimir Mikhailovsky recalls continuing his mission after losing part of a leg at Klishchiivka in 2023, remembering coach Vasily Mikhailov's encouragement. The report describes awards to Mikhailov, Alexander Zakharov, Irina Belyakova, Patimat Isaeva, Elena Yusufova, Irina Sakharova, Vasily Frese, Tatyana Kislyakova and Nina Krayushkina, with teachers' and veterans' testimony and earlier combat achievements as background. Putin credits teachers' example and character formation, praises the education of young commanders, and announces preparation courses for newly elected Duma veterans. Krayushkina criticizes cultural and civic changes in the 1990s; Putin responds with his patriotic-upbringing argument. The complete post-ceremony conversation and closing are preserved. Military and political assessments remain attributed.

At the October 5 Kremlin awards, Putin says newly elected Duma members who recently served at the front need preparation for legislative work. He says he has spoken with Presidential Administration staff and will organize special courses and training. Implementation is not reported.
