Heritage Fund's first plans Arsenal and Ivankiv museum
Heritage Fund announces Ivankiv museum restoration
Jun 25
Naliahaka introduces the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Fund's Gdańsk pilots, pooling donor money for war-damaged sites and describing support for Mystetskyi Arsenal and the Maria Prymachenko museum in Ivankiv. Ivan Verbytskyi says the Arsenal received the fund's first allocation that day for stabilization and restoration documentation after damage at the same time as the Lavra. He presents Ivankiv as a project to be implemented soon, qualifying the anchor's funding wording. He recalls its burning on the invasion's second day and local residents saving paintings the community had bought from Prymachenko. He argues for a rebuilt gathering place honoring the artist and a tourism landmark, while hoping the Kyiv–Chornobyl route reopens.
At the June 25 Gdańsk conference, Verbytskyi identifies Ivankiv museum restoration as one of the Cultural Heritage Fund's first projects to be implemented soon. He recalls the community's saved Prymachenko paintings and argues for rebuilding a gathering place honoring the artist and tourism landmark. The Kyiv–Chornobyl route's reopening is a hope. His direct statement qualifies the anchor's funding language: implementation remains forthcoming, not completed rebuilding.
