Al-Abed’s appeal to implement Gaza ceasefire plan

Sep 29

In a complete Ramallah interview, analyst Numan Tawfiq Al-Abed argues that West Bank settler violence, including Jalud, is organized government policy rather than isolated acts, and alleges Israeli army protection. He describes displacement, settlement fragmentation, economic restrictions, olive-harvest losses and withheld revenues as connected pressure, and alleges accelerated policy before the Israeli election. These remain his assessments. On Gaza, he alleges Israeli control of 70% of the territory, crowding of residents into the remaining 30%, aid and medical obstruction, and refusal to implement Trump’s plan, especially its second phase. He urges the United States and permanent Security Council members to pressure Israel to implement Resolution 2803 and the plan: ceasefire, unrestricted aid, Israeli withdrawal, international forces, reconstruction and the Palestinian technocratic committee. He says the Board of Peace should perform its assigned duties. His factional-acceptance and implementation claims remain attributed; no new agreement or completed deployment is announced.

In his September 29 live interview, Numan Tawfiq Al-Abed urges the US and permanent Security Council members to pressure Israel to implement Trump’s Gaza plan and Resolution 2803. He alleges rejection of the second phase and obstruction of aid while Israel controls 70% of Gaza. His call encompasses ceasefire, unrestricted aid, withdrawal, international forces, reconstruction, a Palestinian technocratic committee and the Board of Peace’s duties. Claims about acceptance and nonimplementation remain his assessments, not a new agreement or completed deployment.
