Thuringia's dissolution vote Voigt withdraws his lawsuit
Thuringia rejects dissolution motion
Oct 7
AUF1 reports that Thuringia's parliament rejected the AfD's self-dissolution motion in Erfurt on Wednesday. AfD and the remaining BSW members supported it, while the other groups opposed it. Pollak places the motion after the BSW split and formation of Thüringen Gerecht. Höcke argues that an unelected party is participating in government and condemns the coalition, while expressly conceding that continuing in office may be formally legal. The same package then announces that Premier Mario Voigt is withdrawing his lawsuit against Chemnitz University of Technology's revocation of his doctorate following findings of plagiarism.
