Lara Fonseca reports Federal Police searches in Niterói at addresses linked to appellate judge Alexandre Eduardo Scisinio, his wife, two children, sister-in-law and an attorney. R$27,000 cash was found at a son's address. The inquiry suspects property/construction companies received judicial favors in exchange for family benefits through properties, discounts and payments, allegedly beginning in his lower-court service. Possible offenses include criminal organization, corruption and money laundering; the Rio Court of Justice says it does not comment on higher-court decisions. These remain suspicions, not proven guilt.
