Swiss neutrality-vote rally Vremya reports the campaign

Sep 24

Vremya reports local residents unfurling a multilingual friendship banner with Russian and Swiss flags in Schöllenen Gorge on September 24. The rally commemorates Suvorov's 1799 Alpine crossing and supports a stricter neutrality initiative due to be voted on September 27. The broadcaster says passage would require reconsideration of Russia sanctions and limits on NATO cooperation and notes government opposition. This reports a campaign rally and prospective consequences, not a vote result.
