UAE open Gulf Cup with 4–0 win over Yemen

Sep 24

The UAE win their September 24 Group B opener against Yemen 4–0 and earn their first three points. Oman TV credits Nicolás Giménez with goals in the 26th and 51st minutes, describes the second in the 36th minute as following an error by Yemeni defender Nader Sahl, and credits Luan Pereira with the third shortly before halftime. The September 23 preview had described Zlatko Dalić's UAE squad and Noureddine Ould Ali's Yemen side ahead of the match at King Abdullah Sports City. That earlier footage remains a preview; the September 24 report provides the result and goal account.
