Russia's battlefield claims Strikes and claimed advances
Russian footage disputes Operation Vivaldi gains
Sep 29
Alexey Ivanov presents Russian claims about Vesyoloye Pole and Kreidyanka, encirclement and fighting around Dobropillia, and strikes on Ukrainian rail, shipping, warehouse and data facilities. Named targets include a Zaporizhzhia locomotive workshop, Sarny, Koziatyn, Plastic Group Ukraine in Velykodolynske, Black Sea ships and Illichivsk, Bilohorodka, Kvitneve’s Nova Poshta terminal and Kyiv’s United DC. The report shows new Varyag footage, lists other data providers and alleges military uses and communications disruption. It disputes Operation Vivaldi gains, quotes battalion commander Kovalev criticizing their presentation, and relays Defense Ministry footage said to show Russian control of four settlements. A purported Ukrainian prisoner alleges abandonment; further Dobropillia building and casualty counts follow. Control, losses, military uses, destruction and prisoner allegations remain attributed claims, without independent verification or dates for every attack.
Vremya disputes Ukraine's presentation of Operation Vivaldi and quotes a Ukrainian battalion commander identified as Kovalev criticizing resources and publicity around three villages. It says Russia's Defense Ministry released footage on September 29 showing Russian positions in Nove, Ridkodub, Yampol and Novomykhailivka. The claimed control and the quoted criticism remain attributed, and do not independently settle territorial control or prove which earlier Ukrainian announcement is being answered.
