Kyiv drones kill two, hit gas stations and railway
Kyiv Parkovy strike: September 23 evacuation
Sep 23
TSN reports Russian drone attacks throughout September 23 that killed two people in Kyiv, one at an impact site and one in hospital. The opening cites Mayor Vitali Klitschko's provisional figures of 43 injured and 16 hospitalized; the closing recap says around 50 injured and again 16 hospitalized. Two gas stations, transport and rail infrastructure, warehouses, business centers and the former Shaiba railway market are reported hit. An evening update reports a strike and evacuation at Parkovy, suggesting its data center as a possible target, and cites the Digital Transformation Ministry on internet disruption to about 100,000 households. At a Ukrnafta station hit around 07:00, staff took shelter, sand-filled gabions limited debris and the LPG tank remained intact; a driver was injured at the other station in Darnytskyi district. The report calls the Ukrnafta site the sixth station destroyed in a week, whereas the recap describes six company facilities attacked in recent weeks.
TSN’s September 23 evening update reports a strike at Kyiv’s Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center, heavy smoke and an urgent evacuation. It presents the large data centre at the complex as a possible reason for the attack, rather than an established targeting finding. Vremya’s account of the same day also describes a strike and fire at Parkovy, using recognizable footage of the glass-fronted complex and people leaving. In the same update, TSN cites the Ministry of Digital Transformation on internet problems affecting roughly 100,000 households after attacks on several data centres, with repairs in Kyiv and the surrounding region. That is wider service-disruption context; the broadcast does not assign every affected household to Parkovy or establish the loss of its entire data centre. The separately reported Newtel and United DC sites and the September 24 Parkovy account are not silently merged into this occurrence.
